Oregon Coast Images and Prints

Two things about the Oregon Coast make it a magnet for photographers: it is (1) spectacular and (2) accessible. Actually, it is ridiculously spectacular and pathetically accessible with a highway running the length of it and with most of it publicly owned. This makes it perhaps the most photographed of Oregon's landscapes. Here are beaches, wind rippled sands, sand dunes, sea stacks, rugged headlands, lighthouses, plunging cliffs of basalt lava and sandstone, river estuaries, rain forests, and crashing waves. Nowhere do photographers concentrate their attention more than at Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park, but these two locations account for only a few of hundreds of miles of photo opportunities.
